The new version of Super Smash Flash series. Super Smash Flash 4 game graphics are more successful than most distinctive difference from the previous version. Super Smash Flash 4. First and foremost: modding smash 4 will not brick/destroy/ruin/or Fuck up your original copy of Smash 4 in any way shape or form. You can use mods online however using mods that changes properties of chacters will automatically desync and disconnect you from anyone else online who does not have the mods your using (meaning stage texture and extra costums are all OK).
OK so, I've been messing with smash 4 mods for a bit now and I noticed how difficult it ws starting off for people that didnt know anything about modding. In light of this I decided that I'd post links to the two main downloads you need to actually get started.
V288 - this is an alternative to dumping your personal copy of Smash 4. The dumping process usually takes 8-10 hours (can vary) while this download only depending on how good your internet speed is (I was able to download this entire dump in about 30 mins for reference)
The reason you need this dump is so you can alter the files of the game, thus when you run the mod it will run the dump version instead of the original version. Making sure you have all the files makes the difference between a working modpack and a faulty one.
Smash 4 explorer - this program is your bread and butter for adding/editing/removing mods from the dump. With this program you can easily add custom music and essentially any mod that can be found on gamebanana (make sure you read the mod description so you don't ruin your dump).
These are the two main downloads you need to actually mod your game, there's a lot of tutorials out there for you to watch (a bunch on game banana)

YouTube user 64iOS offers a video showcasing the characters available through this Super Smash Bros. 4 mod. The first Pokémon shown in the video is water-type starter Pokémon Popplio, which is actually a modified version of current fighter Villager from Animal Crossing. So despite its Pokémon-like appearance, Popplio still knows all the same attacks as Villager. The same can be said for Incineroar; the fire/dark-type Pokémon is a mod of Star Fox's main character, Fox McCloud.
As for the humans of Pokémon Sun and Moon, the antagonist character Gladion is a Super Smash Bros. 4 mod of DLC fighter Cloud from Final Fantasy. Meanwhile, Wicke is a modded version of Princess Peach. Smash 4 Music Mod 1
These Super Smash Bros. 4 mods are a great start, but there are plenty of other Pokémon Sun and Moon characters left to include.
